today is my day off (much needed after yesterday) & this morning when bean left for work she said to me, "if you're good today, when i get home we can work on the cd cabinet!"

& really, it's maybe sad, but the thought of construction-project-as-reward is what's getting me through the day.

the cd cabinet will be like a giant steamer trunk full of all the things we like to listen to. the shells of the trunk are taller than i am, & it has yet to be put on feet & casters.

when finished, the cd cabinet will be (what else) red glitter.
