yesterday i �

walked down four steps & fell the rest of the way down the staircase

built an orange plastic fence (mysteriously referred to as "snow fencing") along the north edge of the clinic's property line

modelled my new bathing suit plus floppy straw hat

sank with bean back into that old buffy DVD routine. ahhhh.

lay awake in pain from the stairs & the fencebuilding, & in fear of the Crazy Opinionated People arriving this weekend.

today i just am sore from the falling. not so much from the fencebuilding.

i did have a lunch meeting (! adult!) with my personal hero, emily, who is like the head of this rock+roll gang of second-wave feminists one county east of us, who just up & created an abortion fund 12 years ago. it was nice to sit in panera eating a strawberry salad saying abortion abortion abortion abortion with second-wavers who dress like grandmas. because they are grandmas living in a little college town.

i am excited for bean's birthday which is soon.

i am excited for the Crazy Opinionated People to leave me & my town alone. St Jude, St Agnes, St Monica, St Albert, St Dymphna, St Agatha, St Elizabeth, St Luke, St Michael, pray pray pray for us.
