lately i have these long luxurious dreams in which everything is okay & calm, & i am sitting around writing poems & annanikko is there, for no reason, & you know it'll be all right.

what i like lately:

the yarn i am using to knit jojo a scarf

the new p j harvey, & the no-longer-technically new devendra banhart & the ditto new magnetic fields

house of god by samuel shem, surprisingly recommended to me by dr b____ one day when i was stressed out at work

the strawberries & nectarines & grapefruits sitting in our refrigerator

addie's thesis poems which are amazing

in other listy bits, we have recently been having Double Feature Nights at home & the past week has brought us:

that last Double Feature should be renamed Married Couples Whose Lives Are Injured By Women Whose Pasts Catch Up To Them, by the way.

also, no one should ever ever see the battle of shaker heights. even our age-inappropriate crush on shia l did not make it in the least enjoyable.

also, apparently i have watched too much sex & the city, because yesterday after i got the estimate to have my car fixed (at 125% the worth of the car itself), the second thing i did was go out & buy shoes & clothes.

the first thing i did was to have dinner with jeff & his family. so that was okay.
