yesterday i successfully introduced bean to the postal service. so that is good. despite my habit of defending her weird & possibly completely arbitrary musical tastes to others (who say things like, "she likes the birthday party & led zeppelin & the cure but she doesn't like electric guitars? who is this woman?"), i really find her sort of bewildering & intimidating even after seven years (nearly), & so it is a sort of a victory when i can say "here, listen to this" (one of my favorite sentences ever, it just thrills me to hear it or say it) & have it work, have it

anyway then we spent all evening unsuccessfully trying on clothes & i am a morally weak person & kept thinking of how tired i was & how much i would rather have been sitting at home reading the order of the phoenix dammit.
i overslept & the only mass i can go to today within walking distance is in spanish. shall i go?
