 roses! pink ones.

7.VI.2003 :::: 13.58

np: the smiths, suffer little children

downtown the other day i overheard two blind people talking & waiting for buses. the blind woman was saying to the blind man, "i hate it when they say, 'what's with the stick?' [she lifted up her cane a bit & tapped him with it.] i want to say, 'it's what you've got coming to hit you in the face!'"

we have roses! they are pink & they just bloomed, like, yesterday. i have never had a garden with anything so extravagant as roses before: our plants tend to be useful, even the flowering ones. chamomile maybe, amaranth.

yesterday the mail brought me a copy of neal stephenson's the diamond age which came as a gift from my brother who, clearly, is the best one. so now i have something to read in the (somewhat inevitable) event that i finish the tolkien before i get around to unpacking the books.

i never want to leave this house.

oh, i am so in love. oh, i am so in love. filling up the storeys, creeping up the walls.
