my favorite subgenre of "law & order" is the one involving Evil Gynecologists. the one on now features an Evil Gynecologist who looks a bit like ian holm.

i couldn't sleep last night, but i also couldn't read for more than a few pages at a time. so i spent a lot of time chasing the cats around the otherwise pretty-empty apartment saying, "why don't you want to talk to me?"

i think i am going to finish ...kavalier & clay & see if i can sleep a bit. later i want to go up to the new house, sit in the bare rooms & listen to my headphones for a while.
