i said, "i dreamt you were going to marry some girl, & i was trying to stop you. i had found out that she couldn't draw, & i was trying to convince you of this."

he said, "oh, that makes perfect sense."

i said, "no, the thing is, you were convinced that she could draw, but i had found Secret Evidence that she could not. it wasn't that you thought that drawing or not drawing was irrelevant. it was that you didn't believe me, & if i could convince you, everything would be off."
