not-reading-novels is working well for me. i sat at work all afternoon yesterday reading dorothy day. how self-indulgent, reading a paperback right there at the reception desk.

i feel slow & unventful: like i am gearing-up for some unknown Great Near-Future Thing. but maybe i am just waiting for it to get hot again outside: waiting for sundresses & h�sker d� records & sitting on the back deck with a cold one & something to read.

wishing all my loved ones would live on my same street.
