 face unafraid the plans that we made

6.XII.2001 :::: 21.51 san nicols

my throat is sore from singing in a low octave in the car, as we drove around in the suburbs between places to buy things. [i am obsessed with my own singing voice, which is not very good. i catch myself singing out loud in the lightbulb aisle in kroger. am i going crazy or do i like to sing.]

so in the spirit of saint nicholas maybe i am not giving any presents out today but we did make the christmastime consumerist journey to the suburbs. the suburbs are always an adventure. there was a man my age staring at bean & me, staring at the place where our hands clasped together, until he looked me in the eye & said, "yeah, i like some-a that."

i heard many recordings of "winter wonderland" but none of them were the fabulous cocteau twins version. maybe i will put it on now.

anyway if i love you you can bet i am building you something to love.
