3. some pointed questions about my own jealousy.

4. glutting on peaches: less than a quarter of a peck left in the little paper sack with the paper handles.

5. the mountain goats singing i ask you to tell me something nice once / you come at me with all your hot lights on display / i know you're changing / damn you / i know you're changing / god damn you for that.

6. some still-sticky pale red peach pits littering the island in the orange kitchen.
