at last it was time to face it up: & to go into the new incarnation of
used kids records. up the stairs & into the giant-open space. it's not the same as the old basement. somehow it's not the same store (& i miss the magic of having an annex). but it is still wonderful.
& i can stop quivering, because i found there the new laurie anderson CD, which is officially released tomorrow, & which i advance-ordered yesterday.(in hopes that my results can be replicated, i will start writing here about all the out-of-print mountain goats records i somehow managed to track down online.)

i just looked it up. it is david byrne. & it is $19.00 that i don't have (one reason among many: i just went to used kids for the first time in months) & so i will not be going. unless someone wants to take me as a birthday present to himself.

they got off the bus: leaned right out the rear doors & into singing dog records.
