i think lima, ohio, is the armpit of the midwest. & i have
been to gary, indiana. lima, ohio, may in fact be the armpit of the country entire, i'm not sure.
i announced this at work today in my laryngitic voice & at least one co-worker chalked my sentiment up to a general dislike of ohio & a general longing for kentucky, which i surely must have. no, really, i'm puzzled.
anyway i am pleased to come home early from work today (the laryngitic voice) & learn that seventeen magazine has listed kenyon as a "cool" college. this is just what i was waiting for.
now i have to go see my kitchen about some snacks.
PS, yesterday it greyed all the way up highway 33 & we listened to red house painters (the rollercoaster album) & it was perfect, the road, everything. up by bellefountaine there were actually hills, which you couldn't see that well on the way back, that evening, through all the driving rain.
