i dreamt that
my brother sent me a demo of his band & that one of the songs started like this:
i wrote this song for my sister
without any drums
so she could get over you
but i didn't write it after all
& when i told him about it, he said he would actually put it in a song & send it to me, which was nice.

black-bean cast-iron oven-pie
1 large onion, diced
2 large garlic cloves, minced
2� c firm-cooked black beans
� c broth
� c minced cilantro
� c chopped black olives
1 small jalape�o, diced
� tsp dried oregano
� c salsa
1� c cornmeal
� c flour
5 Tblsp soymilk powder
1 Tblsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 c corn kernels
1 Tblsp maple syrup or honey
1 c water
1/3 c oil
� mix wet & dry separately. add wet to dry & mix with a fork just until combined.
in a cast-iron skillet:
� saut�e onion & garlic one minute.
� add other ingredients & cook another couple of minutes
pour topping over bean-stuff & bake at 375� for 20-25 minutes, until tester comes out clean.
